SUSTAINABILITY
At Re:Ingrid, we believe it is important to take responsibility for our actions and the impact we have on our environment. We are committed to running our company in a responsible manner that takes into account climate impact as well as social and ethical issues. We strive to improve and integrate a sustainable conscious way of working in everything we do, and are aware that this requires constant development and presence in everything we do.
PRODUCTION
With the goal of only developing top-quality products, we have high demands regarding sustainability and safe production when choosing our suppliers. To make Re:Ingrid's position clear and to state what we expect from suppliers and business partners, we have put together a Code of Conduct.
Our Code of Conduct states the requirements we expect from suppliers in ethical, social and climate issues.
INGREDIENTS
We comply with the general cosmetics legislation within the EU regarding cosmetics production and use of ingredients (Regulation (EU) No. 1223/2009). We also comply with the national cosmetics legislation that applies to products sold in Sweden.
In addition, we have established our own blacklist of ingredients that we do not approve in our products.
VEGAN RANGE
Since the beginning, we have strived to be able to offer a vegan range that includes all of our products. However, we have one deviation and that is our foot cream, which contains honey and beeswax. To make it clear, this is clearly stated on both the product and our website. In addition, all products are 100% vegan.
NO ANIMAL TESTING
Re:Ingrid is 100% against animal testing.
PACKAGING
We are constantly researching how our packaging can be developed and improved. Our first packaging is refill packaging that is 100% recyclable and can be used in new products.
Our bottles, which are provided separately from our skincare products, are designed to have a longer life in your bathroom cabinet than a couple of weeks. Our bottles are available in 100% recycled PET (R-PET) and glass. Bottles in recycled PET are previously collected and recycled PET bottles that have been ground down and then used in new bottles. You can easily leave bottles in recycled PET (R-PET) to the recycling center and they will be recycled again. The same applies to our glass bottles, so please recycle them as well.
All our shipping cartons are made of FSC-labeled cardboard. This means that the trees that are used as input in the paper production come from responsible forestry, that is, forestry that takes into account both people and the environment.
To the greatest extent possible, we recycle filling and packing material from our suppliers to give it as long a life as possible. As long as it looks presentable and is viable, we reuse it.
PROUD MEMBER OF NPA
Since the start, we have been a proud member of the Swedish Business Producers' Responsibility (NPA), which means that we pay a fee for each package we put on the market, so that the packaging can be collected and recycled. And that we report this annually to the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency.
By law, all producers have a financial responsibility for packaging to be collected and recycled. The main purpose of producer responsibility is to reduce littering, reduce the amount of waste and ensure that the waste that does arise is recycled and used for new products.
The Swedish Industry Producer Responsibility is an approved producer responsibility organization that works to drive the development towards circular and traceable material recycling - so that more packaging can become packaging again.
LOGISTICS
To our e-commerce customers, we primarily offer Nordic Ecolabel-labeled deliveries with PostNord in the first place. And to avoid all unnecessary emissions, we have excluded printed order confirmations.
All of our transport partners have policies and strategies to minimize their carbon footprint.
We transport the vast majority of all incoming shipments to our warehouse by road and sea freight. We always strive to maximize the capacity of our transportation to avoid unnecessary climate impact. The same approach is used for all outgoing deliveries.
